World Class Apple Pie Filling
Mouthwatering spices and caramelizing apples will fill your house with a scent no candle company can create. That I promise you! (Unless you burn it, that parts up to you) This recipe should be celebrated. It's going to get you so many places, first place at the dessert table, a quick cheat to sweets for breakfast and everyone's going to want the recipe. Yes, you have to share it - pretty please? This sweet and delicious apple pie filling is exactly what you need in life, it's quick and a showstopper.
Let's talk apples! These are my top picks:
- Golden Delicious – well-balanced sugary/sour flavour
- Honeycrisp – sweet and just like the name says, crisp!
- Pink Lady – my personal favourite, a delicious, sweet and a little tart. They're perfect for this recipe because they hold their shape.
You're probably wondering where the heck Granny Smith is, she's still at the store because she's a little outdated and the old standard for baking. Sure, it's a good apple but we're going for great here!

Recipe Notes
- Apple pie filling is the only obvious use for this recipe. I love to use it on waffles, pancakes, with granola, on top of greek yogurt as apple crisp filling or even just in a bowl with cream!
