What if I told you, the measurements for this marinade are practically unnecessary? And that all the ingredients are interchangeable with other awesome things? You’d want to try it out right away, right?! Well, you’re in luck. Whatever you’re cooking tomorrow, it’s now getting a marinade soak tonight!
What’s on your shelf doesn’t really matter, how we put them together does. Grab an acid, fat and a few seasonings and you’ve got yourself a tenderizing, beyond flavourful, ‘kick it up a notch’ meat soak. You’ll know you’ve done me proud if your marinade is a little chunky from all the garlic. (It’s not a double brush situation, don’t worry)
Ingredients
Instructions
- Whisk all the ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl or in a zip-lock bag. Place desired meat in a large dish and pour the marinade over top, or add your desired meat to the zip-lock bag. Whichever method you've chosen - this is super easy!
- Let the meat soak for a minimum of 30 minutes, the longer the marinade time the more tender and seasoned the meat will be! I know we don't all have the time, but try and let it soak up all the great things we've added! Don't let this sit for longer than 24 hours, then you're just asking for trouble! (I shoot for about 6-12 hours)
Notes
- Don't have everything? Try swapping out a couple of ingredients for rosemary, dill, fresh or dried onion, buffalo wing sauce, parmesan cheese, coconut milk, canola oil, sesame seed oil, curry seasoning, lime juice, canned pineapple with juice, orange juice or even buttermilk
- Don't know what to use it on? Pork, chicken or beef! Almost anything will do.
