Everything bagel seasoning goes with literally everything. Who would have thought, poppyseed and dehydrated onion would make such a magical pair? I’ve been hooked on everything bagels since the first one I had, but who can withstand eating bagels on the regular? Not this girl. Enter, everything bagel seasoning.

Want your broccoli to be as delicious as that buttered everything bagel? Sprinkle some on! Want your popcorn to be the belle of the ball? Add some to the butter! Tired of the same old salad? You guess it, add some everything bagel seasoning! Don’t you dare buy this from the store! I’m not normally a lecture giver – but that stuff is packed full of salt and it’s the leftover seasoning they couldn’t get rid of any other way. Always make your own when you can, we won’t judge when you don’t but your tastebuds will!

  • I prefer to shake all my ingredients in a jar, but mixing them in a bowl and transferring to a sealed jar works too! Keep on a cool, dry shelf in your pantry. Don't worry - you'll use it before it expires.

Notes

  • What colour sesame seeds? Black or white sesame seeds will work! We aren't picky here
  • What do I put this on? Bagels, eggs, toast, roasted veggies, chicken, kale chips, baked potatoes, popcorn, mix into cream cheese or softened butter and my personal favourite sprinkled over buttered corn on the cob.
  • Just a tablespoon? Okay, you caught me. I seriously heap my tablespoons when I make this. Also, if I'm in a pinch... I don't even measure. It's a spice mix, not a baked Alaska!
  • Missing spices? Feel free to mix things up - most of us have had the glorious everything bagel, so do your best!

What we're getting at is, this will go as far as your imagination!
